Beauparc acquires WERS Waste

Beauparc Utility Group, has acquired Connaught based waste management firm WERS Waste.

WERS Waste was established in 1989 by the Gleeson family. WERS offers a wide range of services including domestic and commercial waste collection, recycling, compost and environmental services to over 30,000 customers throughout Connaught.

The acquisition will bring Beauparc’s nationwide customer base to in excess of 325,000 homes and businesses.

WERS Directors Pat, Martin and Paul Gleeson will now concentrate on growing their plastics recycling business at their Weir Road facility in Tuam. Plastics recovered from WERS customers will continue to be handled at this facility.

Paul Gleeson said; “Pat, Martin and I felt that the time was right for us to concentrate our strategic focus on the plastics recycling element of our business, where we have made significant investments in recent years.”
