Lagan Eco-Fuel Centre

Beauparc has been awarded a 10-year contract to provide Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) to the Lagan cement facility in Kinnegad, Co. Meath. Beauparc’s €5M investment into the project will guarantee 80,000 tonnes of the renewable fuel resource to Lagans per year.

The joint venture guarantees Lagan with critical resources and further promotes Beauparc’s position within the circular economy. This partnership also enables further progress on the journey to sustainability.

Pre-treated SRF will be transported from our new Dublin SRF facility to the state-of-the-art Eco Fuel Centre. Here, it will be processed for further treatment and shredding to optimal particle size. The finished product will be conveyed directly to Lagan bunkers for immediate use as a coal alternative for the manufacture of cement.

Construction of the new facility began in early January 2018 and is expected to be completed by the end of September. The facility, when operational, will require six full time employees in operation and maintenance positions.
