WSR Named Fastest Growing Waste and Resource Company in the UK

Beauparc are delighted to report that WSR Recycling, our latest acquisition, has been announced as the fastest growing waste and resource company in the UK with a two-year combined annual growth rate of 44.7%.

The Catalyst Corporate Finance Waste & Resources Fast 50 ranks the fastest growing privately owned businesses that serve the UK solid waste industry by revenue growth. When asked whether he could offer any insight into WSR Recycling and its growth, Catalyst Corporate Finance Partner Mark Wilson relayed that in the financial year up to September 2017, the business delivered £14m in turnover and top quartile profit level and that WSR has shown “flexibility in the way it has approached the market but underpinned this by strong quality, health and safety and environmental practices”. 

In order to facilitate their recent growth surge, WSR deployed a two-pronged approach: Firstly, their substantial investment of over £4.25m over three years in infrastructure, processing capabilities and transport fleet in order to double the processing capacity to 200,000 tonnes coupled with their commitment to supply RDF to Viridor’s Runcorn EfW facility on a long-term supply agreement is of massive significance. Secondly, in early 2017, WSR shareholders chose Beauparc as their strategic partners to enable them with the resources to navigate the company to the next level.
